Marine Services (SW) Ltd is a family owned and operated, private company based in Plymouth. Originally set up in 1985, the company was incorporated in 2007 and is an established engineering company, specialising in commercial marine civil engineering, and marine plant hire.
All our workboats, marine plant, & equipment is licensed, properly maintained & tested regularly. Skippers are licensed boatmen as well as being qualified, experienced engineers. All MSL staff undertake regular training.
The work we do is varied, and each job brings new and interesting challenges. We have an excellent safety record and produce individually tailored risk assessments for each job.

Marine Services (SW) Ltd, or 'MSL', is an ISO accredited and JOSCAR registered, engineering company that specialises in all aspects of commercial and marine civil engineering.
We use our professional approach, experience and expertise to provide a wide range of marine engineering problems with tailor made, cost effective and environmentally friendly solutions.
We specialise in repairs to historic listed sea structures and are experienced in sea wall stabilisation and rebuilding, as well as stone cutting and drilling, pinning, pointing and general repairs. This includes lighthouses, breakwaters, sea walls and quays. Maintenance and repair work can be accessed from the water or from the shore side, with the support of a safety boat.
Our workboats can transport scaffolding, plant and equipment, and our experienced workforce is trained and licenced to operate cranes and access platforms.
We also have a wealth of experience and expertise in the installation and repair of pontoons, pontoon pile guides, fendering, navigation aids and beacons, and cathodic protection for steel structures.
